This time I visited Kumamoto, Kyushu. Although there was an image that was a little distant, there is good access by both air and land, and this time, if I chose the land and transferred to the Kyushu Shinkansen at Hakata, I was able to enter the field faster than I expected. When you exit the ticket gate, a big " The Kumamon monument welcomes you. When you leave the station building, you can see a tram running through the city, and suddenly you feel like traveling.

Speaking of Kyushu, it is a sacred place for fishing where a lot of nature remains on the water's side, but this time we visited "Kigotaki Natural Fishing Center" near the border of Miyazaki prefecture, beyond Mt. Aso. I'll try leisurely mountain stream fishing there. I got on the reserved car from Kumamoto station, set up the navigation and confirmed that it was 1 hour and 40 minutes, then I ran the car at once.

After passing through the city, the scenery from the train window gradually changes to a hilly area. If the direction of the wind changes, the smoke will cloud the sky. I strongly feel that this area coexists with nature.

Eventually, continue on the mountain road to the "Kigotaki Natural Fishing Center". Here, you can not only feed food areas where children can enjoy, lure fishing areas where you can enjoy fishing without changing the terrain of the valley, but if you process the fish you caught with a self sink, you can have it grilled at the shop and terrace while watching the valley. Meals are available at the seat.

Purchase a game ticket and move to the mountain stream fishing area. The stream below is so clear that you cannot see the water depth, and in the slow stream, you can see the fish swimming slowly as if they were flying in the air. My mind switches to fishing to see if I can catch it.

Immediately, I set a 5 cm minnow in "RGM spec.2 5.5" and climbed while fishing from downstream to upstream. While walking along the river, choose a deep pool and cast lures. The fish's reaction is good, and you can see that they are chasing with great force while playing with the lure.

When the cast is repeated, a good type char is immediately hit. Riding on the flow, it narrows down the rod. Both the heat of the sun and the coldness of the water disappeared from my head in an instant, and I looked around and desperately looked for a place to take in the fish. I was able to finally put it in the net while taking a splash of water. The fish body wrapped in various colors with a neat appearance and deepness makes you feel even dignity, and even if you look at it many times, you will fall in love with it.

Around Mt. Aso
One round drive

I came to Kumamoto, so I drove in the idyllic scenery while looking at Mt. Aso. As you run around Mt. Aso, which emits smoke toward the sky, you can see cows and horses grazing everywhere in the vast pastures, and occasionally see people who park their cars and take pictures of them. It makes me feel calm when I hear the calls of each other.

First of all, I visited Shirakawa water source, which is also selected as one of Japan's 100 famous waters. The water that springs from this source is more transparent than tap water, and because of its coldness, the pond of the spring looks dignified. Once again, I was able to show off the amazingness of the natural filter, and somehow I felt that my feelings were also purified.

At “Art Washi Kobo Hakusui” beside the water source, you can experience making paper with the raw material called bark and pulp called kozo. After looking at the clean water source, I feel that I can make better Japanese paper. I definitely recommend it.

In Takamori Town, which is close to the Shirakawa water source, there was Takamoriyusui Tunnel Park which originally became a park because spring water came out in a tunnel that was like a railway. Inside the tunnel, there are many exhibits related to water, which makes it a very interesting spot. The inside of the tunnel is cooler than the outside temperature due to the cold air cooled by spring water, so it looks like a natural refrigerator. When visiting, be prepared to wear one more item.

The northern area of Mt. Aso is a countryside, and if you drive a little to the hill, you can see the magnificent scenery. After returning to Aso Shrine at the foot of Mt. Aso, I walked along the approach and found a butcher shop called "Aso Torimiya".

Not only local special products such as horse meat, but also many kinds of meat products unique to butcher shops such as Kumamoto's red beef products are sold in the store, which is a remodeled building like an old-fashioned warehouse. You can do so, so it's recommended that you send a souvenir at a store.

Among them, since I came to Kumamoto, I would like to eat horse meat, and inside the "Aso Torimiya" store, you can eat in the croquette "horse meat croquette" using that horse meat. You can buy this croquette with minced horse meat full of deliciousness in Hokuhoku potatoes at the online shop, but you eat it carefully with the manager who carefully fries each order after ordering horse meat croquette can only be tasted here, so I definitely want to drop by when you come to Aso.
